Melt Shop Production

QMOS Melt Shop Production module (MSP) improves the decision making process by providing a real time look at the entire manufacturing process through real time shop floor data collection.  Total of 32 screens are available to make data retrieval and analysis more easy and effective.  Close to 50 reports are at the tip of the users fingertips providing information on all aspects of the Melt Shop’s production parameters in a matter of seconds.

QMOS MSP monitors the execution of the schedule for the production of the heats and capturing all process parameters, tracking the heats throughout the Melt Shop, optimizes the alloy and energy addition, captures real time production tons and analyzes the quality of produced billets. This module also captures the delays and allocates the logical cause for the delay.

The MSP module also has screens with fully integrated functionalities for Quality Control personnel where they have the capability to enter and analyze all facets of heat and billet quality parameters. QMOS MSP bridges the gap between corporate systems (ERP) and control-level PLCs. It makes full use of client-server technology, and works on OracleTM, and would communicate with other popular database platforms through API.  OPC technology is used to communicate with the level-1 system controlling the Melt Shop.
