Improved Recipe Management

QMOS’s Roll Shop module has undergone significant improvements with its overall management from the release of Version 10.2.

The Product Family Tree screen has been redesigned to allow setup data to be maintained with greater ease.  The main view contains pass data for each stand that the product uses.  A second function, Pass Analysis, allows users to view and modify passes for all products where a particular pass is used.  Prior to this enhancement, our customers had to monitor their different pass versions for every roll and for every product and found this extra step to be unnecessary. As a result of their feedback and our continuous ways to improve QMOS, our team felt that Pass Versions are no longer needed.

The new arrangement eliminates extra work.  Currently, when a pass is modified, the user has the option to either apply that change to every product for which that pass setting is used or to keep the changes solely for the product being worked on.  No mess, no fuss. 

The presentation and flow of information has also been greatly improved.  The user can see the complete recipe of the entire product in a single view as opposed to the previous way where the information was presented per stand.  This will greatly ease the process of data verification for the Roll Shop operator as well as simplifying the editing and modification process.  Roll Shop personnel also have an added advantage of being allowed to optimally allocate Rolls and Passes permitting them to make better decisions on a daily basis.
