Produces alloy, carbon, and resulfurized-engineered steel bars, that have customized alloy chemistry ranges, designed to optimize metallurgical properties for specific applications in automotive and truck components. The division produces 9/16"to 33/32"diameter hot roll bars and round corner 11/4 "to 21/4 squares.

The hot roll bars can be shipped directly to the customer or they may be sent to independent processing contractors for further enhancement. The processors may perform a number of different operations, including ultrasonic testing, roto testing, heat treating, turning and polishing, cold drawing or re-shearing.
MACSTEEL Monroe has a melt shop capacity of 585,000 tons and the rolling mill can produce 530,000 tons annually.
